Explore the top of Pikes Peak through the experience of the Cog Railroad in Manitou Springs. This package provides the winner with 2 reserved admission tickets and expires 11/15/26. The Cog has been climbing Pikes Peak since 1891. Recognized as the world’s highest cog railroad, The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway is an important part of the heritage of the Western United States. Taking this 9-mile journey to the top at 14,115 feet, is like walking the footsteps of history. Narrated by a conductor who shares information about the geography, wildlife, and history, the journey on the Cog Railway to the summit of Pikes Peak will lead to sweeping 360-degree views of the Pikes Peak region from the far eastern plains to the Continental Divide, along the snow-capped Rocky Mountains to the west. As you climb up Pikes Peak, the unique toothed rack Cog rail between the running rails allows the train to operate on steep grades upwards of 26%. While on the summit you will find the same unobstructed panoramic views as the explorers who first discovered it, in the most beautiful and extraordinary way. Nestled into the mountain and built-in pursuit of the world’s highest standards in sustainability through the Living Building Challenge, the new Pikes Peak Visitor Center allows you to Learn more about Pikes Peak and the region’s history and immerse yourself in the interactive interpretive space. A visit to the summit isn’t complete without tasting world famous Pikes Peak donuts, the only ones in the world made above 14,000 feet.
A note from Wind Horse Sanctuary: Welcome to Wind Horse Sanctuary's 4th Annual Online Auction
Thank you for supporting the hooves of Wind Horse Sanctuary where 100% of the proceeds from this event go to the care and filling the bellies of the horse and donkey residents at the sanctuary.
With your support, we will continue to honor Seneca's legacy. Seneca started rescuing horses as a teenager, and when she passed away at the age of 19, she left behind her beloved herd. Through their heartbreak, her family launched Wind Horse to find purpose and continue her mission of rescuing at-risk horses and providing them a forever pasture to spend out the rest of their days.
